Since the latest update the Top News no longer loads. Fix this please!!!!!

The app will not refresh after the last update. If you want to keep rereading the same articles every time you open the app, its great.

Could not agree more with only other review posted! (What happened to all the other reviews that were present even just a week ago?!?!). This site reports on a topic arguably central to every american citizens life yet most times a viewer cant get past the spinning ball update or if you do get to read an actual article it freaking crashes randomly!!! GET IT TOGETHER SOON!!!!

I love Politco content. However the iPhone and iPad app have serious issues updating contentS when the app launches it says updating the content. But in fact doesnt. Repeated attempts of pulling into down to force an update so not update. However if you keep at it it will eventually update. It is a really poor user experience, which is a pity as the content is great.

So far so good with the latest update... Hopefully they fixed all the bugs with the app (its been about a year since their last app actually worked and did what it was supposed to). So far, this seems to be working well;thankfully, as I really like getting the news on politico.

Every time this app is updated, its worse. Auto-refresh never worked reliably. Now, with the latest update, manual refresh doesnt even work. In order to get new content, you have to close the app and relaunch it every time. Just amazing. Its only the Presidential campaign season. Nothing worth being updated on.

Great content, but you literally have to force quit the app to get a refresh. Its even worse than it was before the last updates. Simply incompetent.

How difficult could it possibly be to fix this updating problem? The app is unusable, and the fact that this version was released without an update fix shows how much Politico must care about it.

App takes forever to refresh when opening and it seems to freeze and crash much more with the latest update. Content is great, but this app is terrible. Id give it 0 stars if I could.

The new app update fixed the news updating process and the app is much quicker. Ive always liked the look of this app as well as the articles, but the news update process was messy and slow. Now it is simplified and fast and Im back to using it several times a day.

Im not sure why others are having so many issues. Politico is the only news app on my phone and it works great! I rely on it to keep on top of election news.

Love Politico, love their content, but until both manual and background refreshing reliably update the app (both are currently broken), two stars is the most I can give. I suggest visiting via browser, instead.

I wonder if they even read these. How can you provide such a failed app when providing content is your sole business?

The content on the app is good. However now with the most recent update, the app doesnt load new stories. I still have stories from four days ago at that show as the most recent articles.

Ive had it now for a couple of weeks and havent experienced any of the the issues mentioned below. I like it better than the Washington Post. It works great for me.

Politico itself is pretty good at covering the "inside baseball" of politics, albeit usually from a markedly conservative slant. The app, though, needs improvement, especially in readability. The default font size is too small and it lacks a built-in way of changing the font size! It relies on the General Settings for iOS, but that then makes everything else too big! Just try finding the Settings inside the app... They are buried 4 layers deep under Other! The navigation is convoluted. A scrolling tab bar across the top would work much better than the expand-o, hide-o left-hand design. ------ PREVIOUS REVIEW The adverts are intrusive; taking up valuable screen space and appearing at random, full screen! if youre going to have ads, put out an ad-free version for some $, too! The app needs font size controls. Right now, the app used iOSs Accessibility, Dynamic Type setting, but very poorly. The result is that sub-headlines are HUGE, but article text is smaller than it should be. There needs to be a way of setting font size within the app itself! All other major news apps give users a way to change it! Give us font size controls or double-tap zooming with text reflow. All this is really too bad as Politico is an excellent source of well-written, well investigated stories (though from a markedly conservative perspective). But if the articles are too small to read comfortably, whats the point of the app? As several folks have pointed out, the mobile web site works much better! The iPad version of the app is much better.

When it works this app does a good job of helping sort thru Politicos content but for the past month its been a buggy mess. Whole sections fail to update for weeks at a time and even full reinstalls have no impact. This baby needs a MAJOR tune up. Politico should spend some coin on technology before it spends any more trying to build the biggest stable of political journos in DC.

The app frequently pops up a user analytics panel called Tealium Mobile Companion. It blocks the whole view of the articles, and it can not be closed. The app has no Feedback or Contact Us methods, so I have to write a review here for an unusable app.

It was better for a while. Now I cant get updates on my iPad or my iPhone. Riggs Bank all over again?

Gets hung up refreshing content so it is basically unusable.
