A one star isnt overkill. THIS APP CRASHES CONSTANTLY, WONT UPDATE. Takes 30 seconds to do so when you swipe up to refresh. Even so there is a 2/3 possibility it will crash. Its tremendously buggy. Most unstable app I ever encountered in the appstore. What have you fixed exactly? It seems like you basically "updated" the app to get rid of the negative reviews. Pathetic. FIX IT. Hire some good developers.

This was a great app until a few months ago then it went to headline only w/o story preview but that was okay. But about two months ago the app started to not update and when pulled down to update manually it takes 10 minutes to update to new stories. (Even with good connectivity.) I have stopped using it which is too bad in such a politically interesting (or depressing) election year!

Im going to give the app a 5 because of the content, but the app itself is very prone to random crashes

When you share breaking news articles either on social media or via text message, it never uses the correct link. Its always some random story, not the one that youre viewing. When you use the copy link feature, it copies the wrong link as well.

New update doesnt seem to have fixed anything. Still no auto-update for news, & still sometimes top stories take forever to load or just hang up trying to load. Maybe update again when youve actually addressed bugs.

Why did you change what was working well enough? So you got more graphic above the fold. Hurray! But the app wont even update. And the stories are all junked up. Maybe youre selling the site and dont care. But I used to check your site/app 6x a day. Now? You wish.

The old Politico app wasnt perfect, but the new app is so much worse that I would rather just read another publication than suffer through it. First, it loses several key features of a news app. Gone are the ability to resize text (to make the font size larger and easier to read) and the multi-column text, which broke up the text and made it much more legible. These are features that should be absolute requirements in a news app. Also seems to not want to update often, and I have to force it to update. Going back to reading on the Politico website until this horrible excuse for a news app is updated or the old app is brought back and updated instead.

The app does not update for recent stories. You pull down and it does not bring the stories to present time. Maybe every third of fourth time it will update but my stories are stuck on three days ago.

This update has basically destroyed any ease of use this app used to have — scrolling up to update no longer works. Instead, when I scroll up, the screen gets stuck on "Updating", which doesnt stop until I restart the app. And to top it all off, after all that, it still doesnt update. I dont need a lot from this app, just the latest top news from Politico, not even any of the other features, but this update has removed even that. Please fix this soon!

How is it possible for this app to get worse? Well it did. No longer can I download and read offline. Page just gets stuck. With millions of great apps out there cant you guys get some help with this?

Politico was once a go-to app for me. Easy to use, updated quickly and didnt require a wifi connection to use following being refreshed. Now it takes forever to load content, if at all. I finally gave up and deleted it. Bring back the old app please!

Politico - its 2016. Its election season. How can you not get this right? There is just no excuse. Update, beta test, make sure it works, release it. And do it quick.

This app is horribly slow to load. Loading Top Stories for a minute on launch makes it unusable to quickly glance latest news.

The auto update is glitchy at best. Also, the most recent election results dont disappear from the main page....ever.

I used to love this app. Now it barely works. It does not update automatically; rather, I have to manipulate different sections to get anything to update. I did read that the founders of Politico are leaving to start up another publication. Maybe this is the end of Politico as we know it.

Awful. Never updates properly.

Does the developer even use the app? Its been broken for weeks/months. Constantly gets stuck refreshing and needs to be force closed

I need to make it so that there are columns in their new stories. Just too difficult to read all the way across the iPad Pro.

Constantly says "loading" but never loads. They need to fix this ASAP. The old version would have been 5 stars. Great content, horrible app.

Not easy to use at all, updating takes forever as well.
